Aimee asks a good "What is meaningful about being male and female?" My answer is it shows how we cannot bear fruit and fulfill our God given assignment in Genesis 1:28 unless we are in relationship. The male literally cannot bare fruit without the female and the female cannot without the male.
We have made a mistake in the church by making gender a role we perform instead of a biological based reality and we are reaping the fruit of emphasizing male and female as behavior. As a woman, everything I do is feminine because I am a woman, it's not based on my level of conformity to an image of gender we have gleaned from the Bible.
