Greed is Idolatry!
My family and I have been renting out a house in Brisbane and renting a house in Melbourne. However, we decided that we’d sell our Brisbane house and buy in Melbourne. This has been an incredibly stressful act due to the process itself, the ridiculous price of property in Melbourne, and dealing with people who were not just mercantile but mercilessly greedy in the process.
Several things happened that were a big reminder that greed is a real thing, that greed is, as Paul said, “idolatry” (see Col. 3:5; Eph. 5:3).
