When it comes to measuring someone’s biblical theology, hermeneutics, and eschatology, there is no better question than this one:

“Is the re-establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 the fulfillment of biblical prophecy?”

This question will be answered differently depending on how one understands the storyline of Scripture, how you do biblical theology, and how you balance typology and literalism in an account of promise and fulfillment between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

As it goes, I do have my own answer to that question!
