Hi everyone, lots of diverse topics coming at you this week, hope you’re ready for it.
Thanks for subscribing!
Monday: Are Christians in Exile in Babylon? (Free Sign-Ups)
The metaphor of “exile” is not just over-used, I think it is inaccurate for the position of Christians in the West today. For my American friends, when they take off, “In God We Trust” from the one dollar bill, then you can complain that you are now exiles in a godless world.
Wednesday: Discipline Your Desires (Free Sign-Ups)
For me, all of life, whether personal, professional, moral, financial, or spiritual, is all about discipline. Discipline is how we negotiate our competing desires. And I can tell you that if you do not master your desires, you will be enslaved to them!

Thursday: Civil War: A Review (Paid Subscribers)
My wife and I recently went and watched Alex Garland’s dystopian drama Civil War, which I have to say, was way better than I was expecting.
Friday: Is Faith a Gift? (Paid Subscribers)
Is faith something we arrived at at the end of a journey, the tuggings of our heart, an action of the will, an exercise of our own volition, something we laid hold of, or something that laid hold of us?
Saturday: 7 Myths about Jesus (Free Sign-Ups)
A video I made about 7 Myths about Jesus, which is hopefully educational!
