Thursday: Human Rights from Jesus to Thomas Jefferson (Free Sign-Ups)
I am reading Andrew Wilson’s EXCELLENT book Remaking the World: How 1776 Created the Post-Christian West and there is a great section where he talks about the Declaration of Independence and Thomas Jefferson’s first draft and final form of the opening line. Awesome stuff here!

Friday: Do We Have Guardian Angels? (Paid Subscribers)
Consider this verse in Matthew’s Gospels: “Take care that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I tell you, in heaven their angels continually see the face of my Father in heaven” (Matt 18:10 [NRSVue]). Does this verse teach that children or all believers have a guardian angel? Well, yes … and no. It’s complex!
