I was surprised to see yet another case of a US secular group advocating to remove a display of the Ten Commandments in a US courthouse. I think this is a murky topic and more complicated than people think.

I’ve been thinking about AI and tinkering with several AI tools for use by academics and students. But some people are now suggesting that AI could even “invent” religions for us.

Friday: Where Have All the Pacifists Gone? (Paid Subscribers)
Where are all the pacifists telling us that Ukraine should lay down their weapons and America and Europe should stop supporting Ukrainian resistance to the Putin regime? It was easy to be a pacifist in the early 2000s, but I think the Ukrainian conflict shows why pacifist is a boutique ideal rather than a workable one.
