Monday: Story of My Books # 9 - Jesus is the Christ (Free Sign-Ups)
Book # 9 was on the topic of messianism again in Jesus is the Christ: The Messianic Testimony of the Gospels. This time, I was not focusing on whether the historical Jesus thought he was the messiah or not. Rather, I was looking at how the evangelists each make “messiah” a key category in their christology.

I don’t want to taint all complementarians with the same brush, but I do think they need some prompting to call out the more dangerous and unwhole expressions of complementarianism.
Friday: Luke and the Delay of Christ's Return (Free Sign-Ups)
Much scholarship has argued that Luke was dealing with the failure of Christ to return as soon as expected. Kind of like 2 Peter 3: “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised?” I’m not convinced that such a problem was really motivating Luke’s theology and focus.
