Friday: The Great Dechurching (Paid Subscribers)
The Great Dechurching by Davis, Graham, and Burge makes for a fascinating albeit depressing read. They claim that, “More people have left the [American] church in the last twenty-five years than all the new people who became Christians from the First Great Awakening, Second Great Awakening, and Billy Graham crusades combined.” So I have some comments and reflections on this book, its stunning claims, and what it means for people outside the USA.
