Hi everyone, Christos Anestei, hope you are having a great Easter.
Hey, this week in Word from the Bird, we have …
Monday: Faith-Based Education and Anti-Discrimination Law in Australia (Free Sign-Ups)
Australia is currently in the throes of trying to adjudicate how to balance religious freedom with anti-discrimination law, it’s complex, messy, and getting heated!
Tuesday: How to be a Christian Influencer and the Emoji Bible (Free Sign-Ups)
I did some funny stuff with SeminaryNow and it’s a good way to celebrate 1 April!
Wednesday: Was there "Heresy" in Paganism? (Free Sign-Ups)
It is often assumed that ancient religion was not concerned with doctrines but only with rituals. To which I say, sort of, but no!

Thursday: Busting 7 Big Myths About Jesus (Paid Subscribers)
I am here to enjoy some Easter eggs and bust up SEVEN myths about Jesus … and I just ran out of Easter eggs.
Friday: The Coming World War as Liberalism vs. Autocracy (Paid Subscribers)
Russia and China are striving to end the US-dominated global order and replace it with a new order, one dominated by autocracies. The autocracy club is pretty tolerant, it doesn’t matter which kind of autocracy it is, fascist (Russia), communist (China), socialist (Venezuela), Stalinist (North Korea), theocratic (Iran), or military (Myanmar), they all want an end to Western liberal values and US economic hegemony. What is more, some democracies like Turkiye, India, Brazil, Hungary, and South Africa are not unsympathetic to that cause as they are often closely aligned with Russian and Chinese interests and reject the Western liberal tradition in favor of tribal, ethnic, or religiously centered cultures.
