Monday: Why I Love My Southern Baptist Friends and How I'd Like to "Fix" Them (Free Sign-Ups)
I was very honored to receive the invitation to contribute to the volume Southern Baptists Re-Observed: Perspectives on Race, Gender, and Politics. It is a terrific book, many fine essays, and I summarize my contribution as to what I admire about the SBC and what I wish I could change.

Friday: A World in Convulsions: An Introduction to the Roman Empire in the Third Century (Paid Subscribers)
I’m beta-testing the idea of writing a history of the Roman empire from the late second century to the early fourth century (i.e., from Pertinax [193] to Constantine [337]). So I made an audio recording of what an opening chapter might sound like.
