While I understand that America has a unique history, a distinct culture, and a particular geography, surely it has reached a point where the gun culture that enables mass shootings simply has to stop. There is a Christian case for gun control!

Tuesday: What is the Kingdom of God and What Does it Have to Do with Me? (Subscribers)
The kingdom of God is a nutty problem with layers of complexity one must unravel in order to grasp a workable understanding of its meaning in the Bible, on the lips of Jesus, and in the diverse interpretive schemes it has held within the church across the ages.

Friday: Nympha and Her House Church (Free Sign-Ups)
The apostle Paul, in the closing section of the epistle to the Colossians, makes a passing reference to a lady called Nympha and the Laodicean church who met in her house. “Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house” (Col 4:15). Was Nympha the patron or the pastor of this house-church?
