CNN recently did an article on how some Christians - or those who were raised Christian - were traumatized by the belief that the true believers were going to be suddenly raptured and the rest would be left behind to face the anti-Christ. This created a manic fear of being “Left Behind.” Did that happen to you?

Wednesday: Story of my Books # 15 - Romans (Free Sign-Ups)
Book # 15 was a commentary on Paul’s letter to the Romans for Zondervan’s Story of God Bible Commentary series! A fun book, but lots of hard work to write!

It’s been a long time since I’ve done my annual list of “Things to Do” at the Evangelical Theological Society and Society of Biblical Literature Conferences, but here you go for this year’s meetings in Denver, Colorado

Friday: What Rod Dreher Gets Right and Wrong About Australian Christianity (Paid Subscribers)
Recently Rod Dreher, in The American Conservative, wrote A Bellwether For Australian Christians, where (following Simon Kennedy’s commentary) he recounts the sad tale of how former banker Andrew Thorburn was forced to resign as CEO of the Essendon Football club because he was the chair of the board of a church named City on a Hill. I think Dreher is right, but only partly.
