Exegesis of Romans 9 and Why I'm So Animated about Women in the Church
I had an absolute blast speaking with Jen Wilkin, JT, and Kyle the Koala-Man at the Knowing Faith podcast. They interviewed me about Romans 9 where we covered the historical and literary context, a basic sketch of the chapter, Calvinism vs. Arminianism, supersessionism, and even middle eastern politics!
Then, towards the end, around the 40-minute mark, Jen asked me, “Why do you care about the issue of women in the church?” Which forced my brain to upload the women-are-really-equal-in-Christ rant program which ran for about 8 minutes and was fairly raw and uncut.

Excellent summarised commentary on Romans. Thank you for making such a complex letter more digestible. Only one minor suggestion - you seem to use the joke ‘I’m just a humble koala butcher from [enter fictional small town name] quite a bit (heard it on a couple of other podcasts) but it never seems to really land. Maybe it’s time to retire it!?
I just listened, hoping Jen would express her opinion, but unfortunately she didn't.
