Book # 6 was another academic book, this time trying to answer the question: Did the historical Jesus claim to be the Messiah? Hence the title drawn from Matt 11:3 and Luke 7:19. Are You the One Who is to Come? The Historical Jesus and the Messianic Question, published in 2009.

For me, Calvinism is about the scandalous grace of God that saves men and women who cannot save themselves. It’s not about the offer of salvation, it’s about God taking us from death to life by putting us into union with his Son.
I’ll be curious to see why you keep wanting to assert your Calvinist calling card, since these seem like basic Christian beliefs, agreed upon also by those who do not claim to be Calvinists. I know you don’t toe the typical Calvinist politico/culture line, so maybe this is why the assertions. I’ll read with interest.
