Thank you for this. I appreciate your review. I’m on the grieving side today. But the thing I am really grieving is the Evangelical worship of Trump and their savior mentality. This video was very helpful for me as I process all of this.

Thanks for the thoughtful words about the election. Appreciate the sensitivity and the different points of view to consider. Needed a little encouragement today. One thing - Kamala is pronounced comma-la, just for future reference.

I appreciate hearing the perspective from someone outside the US, and I commend you for your knowledge of American politics, and your perspective as a Christ follower. I am concerned about the issues you mention, e.g. the impact on Ukraine, yet somehow hope springs eternal. I'm thinking "Some trust in chariots and some in horses but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." Thanks.

My take for what it’s worth: a lot of Americans thought the challenges they face were worse than their concern about Trumps character. They didn’t see the democrats as having a solution.

Also, a lot of people are demonising Americans now. Saying things like how could they, and they are truly deplorable. It is such a fantastic view of the world! They are mostly ordinary people just like you and me, trying to get along in life.

Too many people have succumbed to media propaganda and brainwashing techniques. Europeans, especially, seem to only know about Trump what their media wants them to know about Trump, and that is mostly "Trump bad. Trump Hitler. Trump felon."

Trump won because the majority of Americans know that 99.9% of what the legacy media has been accusing Trump of being and doing is simply false. They recognize that the cases against Trump were attempts at political assassination, and they failed, just like the two physical assassination attempts.

He's not a saint, by any stretch of the imagination, but no world leader is. But he is also not the Devil incarnate, like the left-media wants everyone to think. Enough Americans recognize that, and believe that he will be better for America than the other person who was on the ballot.

Charles... 99.9 % of reportage false ??? Reallly ?

Insurrection on Democracy! .....rampant villifiction of refugees and foriegners!.....

Sexual Assaults!!..... 30,500 objectively checkable spoken falsehoods/ lies!!

Felonies, felonies , felonies. The process of democracy has spoken ...and we must respect that - lets also respect the objective facts and truths.

Very well put as usual. Thank you. The only thing I disagree with is your estimation of Trump regarding brokering some sort of Middle East peace. The Abraham Accords were extremely flawed even naive considering that they completely excluded the Palestinian people. At this point, the Palestinian issue will not be so easily dismissed. I hope he can still navigate those murky waters.

Excellent piece to keep perspective on a day when our hope in other people - no doubt misguided - has taken a battering. It's still a beautiful day in Horsfield Bay, and I have just had a coffee in your honour 😉
