Hi Mike, really appreciating the emails throughout the week. I’m wondering about the argument you use here. Might the same logic be used to point to someone who was courageous and kind but was also in a same-sex relationship and then say we need to change our view of the Scriptural passages on God’s patterns for marriage?

Coming back to your post, could someone recognise that God is honoured in a way even when his patterns and purposes are not perfectly obeyed? Can we recognise the messiness of life east of Eden as we await the New Creation?

Wonderful story I didn't know about. Thanks Michael! I really liked the Handbook of Women Biblical Interpreters. Which pulled out hundreds of those untold stories.
