New Feature: The Round Up
Okay, I’m experimenting with a new format where I send free subscribers my latest video and tell them what news I’ve been reading, and then offer 5 minutes of audio commentary on the news for paid subscribers. Hopefully that’s content for everyone’s budget and interest. This week, it’s all free. Let me know what you think in the poll below!
Good news, I’ve reached 10, 000 subscribers to my YouTube channel. It’s grown well since I started it ten years ago just to collate my lectures, sermons, and interviews in one place. Thanks to COVID and my talented wife, I learned how to edit videos and I’ve learned how to use YouTube more efficiently to get good quality content out there.
I’ve been experimenting with using AI to compose some videos and so far it has gone very well.
Normally my videos get about 500-1500 views in the first two days and then plateau very quickly. But I made a video about Athanasius using AI and it was getting a 1000 views a day, it hit 18, 000 views very quickly, then plateaued (I guess I exhausted the patristics video market at that point). But I learned that the algorithm rewards good content with good watch time.
Anyway, here’s what I put together on Athanasius, goes for six minutes:

PCUSA Minister Denies Jesus is God. Oh man, this guy’s theology is so impoverished that he could qualify for theological food stamps. His view of Jesus is so low that it could probably win a limbo contest against a leprechaun.

EU President Ursula von der Leyen says Europe Needs a European Democracy Shield. Sounds good, but remember, nobody voted der Leyen as EU President, she’s chosen by an EU council (has been politicians) and elected by the EU Parliament (current politicians), not by a people’s vote or a popular vote! SO
SWBTS spent $11000 on a coffee machine! This has got to be the worst act of financial misappropriation ever. As a coffee hater, I think the faculty of all colleges and universities should be permitted only to drink International Roast as their supply of coffee.

It may be just my age but I much preferred your videos, the Ai voice is rather off putting, but as I suggested age wise, I am probably not your target audience. Did you mention the Athanasian creed and did the Robot voice just make me lose concentration at that point?
Liked the round up and audio commentary. Video voice was a no go. Kept having to back up as I was drifting.
