Amazing that your monologuic writing's been turned into a stimlating dialogue! One thing, though, and perhaps a good thing. One can still tell that this is AI, not actual people, as the dialogue is *too* perfect; no hesitations, no gaps between turns, no overlaps/interruptions. But it's intriguing to say the least.
Technology is a two-edged sword, and it always takes away something in exchange for giving something. The problem for most of us, myself included, is that we can't see what it's taking away until it's (usually) too late.
Every time we use these AI tools, we are actually making them better at what they do. This is a good thing if the AI tools are beneficial or at least neutral. But what if they are also nefarious in some way? What if the Law of Unintended Consequences comes back to bite us?
I agree, listening to this is so much better than an audio book version of the same chapter (no disrespect to Dr Bird, I just find audiobooks difficult to focus on). Podcast conversations are more engaging for me personally. It opens doors that I then follow up with real (or Kindle) books. BUT, I’m just starting to really notice what my phone has taken away in the six years I have had one. I am wondering what AI will take. Paul Kingsnorth is a writer who has reflected a lot on this topic. He calls it ‘the machine.’
I'm worried the robots are gonna replace me. I've been able to clone my voice to use in some of the videos I make. So, yeah, the AI revolution is a REVOLUTION.
I think AI is amazing and I’m learning a lot about how it can be good for society etc. But something for us to realize is that history of the Christian church never needed AI to produce God fearing preachers who studied Gods Word with much prayer 🙏 on their knees. When I go to hear to the Word proclaimed at church every Sunday I don’t want to hear AI or know that a sermon outline was done by AI. I think we ought to not allow AI in seminary training ( my opinion I understand others don’t agree) For over 3000 years the church never needed AI. I hate to sound like like a party pooper but I’m fearful AI in the church is dumbing us down especially now we know our cell phones are making us more illerate etc.

Malcolm, wait until AI gets to the stage where you can't tell the difference. It's what comes next which is even scarier and exciting.
I'm really torn about things like this.

Another good book on this idea is Technopoly by Neil Postman.
No Way!
Way!!!
I found the dialogical teaching very powerful and effective and clearer than probably any other method.
It must feel really weird to have someone take your thoughts and express them in a dialogue between two artificial minds.
Dr Bird, do you feel like you have joined a community of robots?

Crazy!!
No words. 😶
AI generated words!
That’s so crazy! Wow.
That was pretty cool!
This is amazingly good. Dynamic and engaging between the 2 speakers.
Wild!

Neat. Scary . . . but neat.
Such a great way of presenting it this way! I would’ve slowed it down a tiny fraction to increase pauses but really liked it!
