This was a good discussion, and brings to light the problematic issues with "hard Calvinism". (And also Open Theism, which diminishes God below Scriptural revelation IMO. I chuckled at " Omnicapable".) The point on the gospel before election however is inadequate to explain or justify double predestination, which I believe Scripture does not in any way teach. I do believe strongly in the sovereignty of God, but His sovereignty does not I believe include that doctrine.
